When it comes down to it. I’m a  campaigner at heart.

I love finding out where the “pain” is amongst the people in the community I serve, and then seeing how I can work with the folk concerned, to find how we together can make a difference.

(Above) campaigning to preserve countryside on the South Downs. You meet some interesting people!

After cycling 100 km across the South Downs Way (Eastbourne to Winchester) in aid of the South Downs Campaign. And yes, I FELT tired too!

Perhaps the campaign that’s been the greatest privilege to have been associated with  was when I helped launch “Remember Hayley - Come Home Safe” in Worthing.

Hayley was a young mum, who went clubbing, missed the last bus home and decided to try to walk home from  Chichester. She slipped and fell on the live rail while walking over a railway crossing. I worked with Hayley’s mum and  teenage friends to highlight the need for safer clubbing for young people; safer transport; safer crossings and safer clubs.
